Sbarro Continues Business Operations As Normal
On April 4, 2011, Sbarro announced an agreement with our key lenders that will eliminate more than half of our debt, significantly improving our financial stability and better positioning us for the long-term. To give the Company time to restructure our balance sheet, we voluntarily filed for bankruptcy protection, which we believe is the best way to complete this process in an effective and timely manner while operating business as usual.  

Our restaurants will continue to operate without interruption. There will be no impact on our ability to deliver the great food and excellent service that our customers have come to expect. Importantly, gift cards, coupons and other promotional items will continue to be redeemable in all Sbarro restaurant locations.

Simply put, we remain committed to meeting the needs of all our stakeholders and we look forward to building on Sbarro’s 50-year track record of success.
