Mama Sbarro’s Signature Sauces To Be Sold At Select Sbarro Locations Throughout The Nation; Sauce Launch Kicks Off Company’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.

MELVILLE, N.Y., February 13, 2006 – Sbarro, the nation’s leading quick service Italian restaurant company, today announced that for the first time ever, its signature pasta sauces will be available for purchase at select Sbarro locations throughout the nation. Italian food lovers can now enjoy Sbarro’s high-quality sauces at their own dinner tables. The sauces, which come in 25 oz. jars, are offered in four flavors, Vodka, Marinara, Tomato Basil and Bolognese, and are made with 100% imported Italian tomatoes. The recipes for the sauces come straight from Mama Sbarro’s first kitchen in Naples, Italy and have been passed down through the Sbarro family for generations.

The launch of the sauce coincides with the 50th anniversary celebration of the arrival of Sbarro founders Carmela and Gennaro Sbarro to the U.S. Over the past five decades, Sbarro has grown from one store in Brooklyn, N.Y. to more than 1,000 locations throughout the world.
