Sbarro Launches “PizzAchievers” Promotion To Reward Students For Good Grades

MELVILLE, N.Y., June 12, 2006 – Sbarro (www.sbarro.com), the nation’s leading quick service Italian restaurant company, today announced the kick-off of its first annual “PizzAchievers” promotion. On Friday, June 23rd, all PizzAchievers – elementary level students who receive A's and B's – will be awarded a free slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza and a free small soda for themselves and a parent when they present a recent report card and say the secret phrase, “A's and B's … Pizza Please!”

“As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, it is our pleasure to invite elementary school students and their parents – many of whom have been loyal Sbarro customers since they were children – to celebrate their educational successes,” said Peter Beaudrault, president and CEO of Sbarro.  “PizzAchievers presents us with an opportunity to applaud America’s youth for their achievements, and show our gratitude to our customers for helping Sbarro grow from a single restaurant in 1956 into the world’s leading quick service Italian restaurant company.”
