
Sbarro Brings Barnyard To Its Restaurants
Leading Italian Quick Service Chain Teams With Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures To Introduce The Barnyard Kid’s Meal, Featuring Collectible Premiums From This Summer’s CGI-Animated Motion Picture
MELVILLE, N.Y., July 27, 2006 – Sbarro (www.sbarro.com), the nation’s leading quick service Italian restaurant company, today announced a partnership with Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures to bring this summer’s kids’ flick, “Barnyard,” exclusively to participating Sbarro restaurants. Sbarro guests who purchase a “Barnyard” Kid’s Meal, will receive one of four collectible cups, an interactive Barnyard meal carton, and one of four collectible double-sided jigsaw puzzles all showcasing scenes from the movie, which features voices from Kevin James, Courtney Cox, Danny Glover, Andie McDowell, Wanda Sykes and Sam Elliott.

The “Barnyard” Kid’s Meal is available from July 14, 2006 through August 21, 2006 with the movie releasing nation wide on August 4, 2006. Kid’s Meal options include a choice of spaghetti, a meatball sub, or a plain or pepperoni pizza slice, along with a small soft drink and the collectible items. Additionally, for the first time, kids and parents can choose to substitute milk for their beverage choice; a move aimed at promoting healthier meal options. At selected Sbarro locations, Paramount Pictures will support the movie tie-in with local promotional campaigns including free screening tickets and prizes for kids.
