How do you pronounce “Sbarro”?
Good question: Suh-Bar-Oh –but some simply call us “The Best XL NY Pizza to ever be sold”.
Who founded Sbarro?
Gennaro and Carmela “Mama” Sbarro established Sbarro in Brooklyn NY in 1956. The couple worked with their three sons, Joseph, Mario, and Anthony, after immigrating to America from Naples, Italy.

Where is the original Sbarro?
In 1956, the Sbarro family opened their first salumeria (an Italian grocery store) at 1701 65th Street and 17th Avenue in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York, which became popular for its fresh food and Italian fare. Its original location closed down in 2004. The success of the Sbarro Salumeria led to the opening of additional locations in the New York City metropolitan area. In 1970, Sbarro opened its first mall-based restaurant in Brooklyn’s Kings Plaza Shopping Center, which is still open today.

When will I receive my birthday reward?
Your birthday reward will be loaded into your Sbarro Rewards account on the Sbarro App one week before your birthday and is valid for two weeks after your birthday.
Why am I no longer receiving Slice Society emails or my birthday slice via email?
Our Slice Society has made a transition to Sbarro Rewards. When creating a Sbarro Rewards account and downloading our app you will receive your birthday slice a week prior to your birthday.
